The company’s artificial intelligence platform, known as Watson, went on Jeopardy! and, over three episodes, crushed the quiz show legends Ken Jennings and Brad Rutter, all in front of the program’s largest TV audience in years. “I, for one, welcome our new computer overlords,” Jennings, who once won 74 Jeopardy! games in a row, wrote below one of his Final Jeopardy answers.
